Welcome to Benenden

 Re-opening of schools.

Following the Governments decision to the wider opening of schools from June 1st, I can confirm that we will be opening this week for all the priority year groups, plus our Key Worker children.

We will be implementing staggered start dates, timings and different entry points into school with Year 1 children returning on June 1st, Reception children returning from the 2nd and Year 6 from June 3rd.  This is in order to monitor how our arrangements are working whilst still protecting each year group.  We also request that only one parent carries out the pick-up and drop-off of children.

Pupils and staff will be organised in protective ‘bubbles’ - groups of no more than 15 pupils with assigned staff to support only one ‘bubble.’   There will also be a group of Keyworker’s children not in Years R, 1 or 6 who will continue to work in the hall.

Thank you for your continued support.

For now we 'Stay at Home' - a video by the staff of the 10:10 Federation - Goudhurst & Kilndown and Benenden CE Primary Schools.

On behalf of the governors, staff and pupils of Benenden Church of England School, welcome to our website. I am so pleased you have decided to visit.

The website is a great tool for communication and I hope it tells you all you need to know about us. I also trust it will give you a flavour of school life. Our school community works closely together to provide an excellent education, based on Christian principles as outlined in our Mission Statement. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to the needs of our children. We also offer a wide range of lunch time and after school clubs and regular educational visits to enhance children’s learning.

Staff and parents work together to foster a love and enthusiasm for learning and to ensure that children feel safe and happy at school as well as making good progress. If you would like a hard copy of any information on our website, we will be pleased to provide this. Please contact the school office for this to be arranged. If you would like to visit the school, please contact the school office and make an appointment for a real tour – not just a virtual one! I look forward to meeting you.

With kind regards,

Lindsay Roberts
